Understanding Vaultly's fees
•By The Vaultly Team
Vaultly shows the full cost before payment. There are no fees added later and no deductions from the deposit itself.
What the buyer sees
The checkout breakdown lists three lines:
- The deposit agreed with the seller
- The Vaultly service fee
- A card-processing-cost recovery amount
Together they make the total charged to the card.
Why the deposit stays whole
Fees sit on top of the deposit rather than coming out of it. If a deposit is refunded in full, the buyer receives the entire deposit amount back — the fees cover the work already performed.
Frozen at the time of agreement
The figures shown at checkout are frozen with the transaction. Later pricing changes never alter a completed deal's record.
